VAYU Show Daily Aero India 2009
Day 1, 11 February 2009
To achieve a quality video picture from a SUAV is a great challenge due to the fact that it vibrates and shakes during flight. The low level flight that is used during military operations requires sharp turns and fast motion of the Line Of Sight (LOS) to track a target. The weight constraints on the SUAV make the challenge even greater. Controp has challenged these issues and developed the first and only small-gyro- stabilized payloads for SUAVs – the Stamp Payloads. The D-Stamp 3G is a daylight stabilized miniature payload with three gimbals weighing from only 650 grams! Controp's D-Stamp 3G payload is already flying on a variety of SUAVs, with tremendous success and great satisfaction from all operators and customers, hereby proving that the concept of a quality mini payload is indeed achieveable.
Controp has also recently launched the U-Stamp night payload using an uncooled IR camera and weighing only 1000 grams. The U-Stamp is fully developed and has a proven success record even in rainy conditions and ha already been sold to several customers worldwide. These mini stabilized Stamp payloads have many of the capabilities of large EO payloads: Gyro Stabilized LOS, high quality picture in full zoom without vibrations, wide field of regard, point to coordinate accuracy, INS/GPS navigational and target tracking capabilities and more. These payloads feature a unique scanning capability.
